The official site still says “Coming Soon”, but I’m tired of waiting for the theatrical release to talk about this movie.

This review sums it up beautifully:

“Imagine, if you will, a soccer team comprising of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Sonny Chiba and Jet Li. Now imagine their games were broadcast by The Wachowski Brothers. If you wouldn’t pay $6 to watch that team play, there’s no helping you.”

It’s so damned fun that there’s simply no reason not to see this movie. If you’re a big Hong Kong action flick fan and can’t wait, just hit up Ebay for an import DVD for about $6. The subtitle’s translation is pretty awful (“Why you kick the soccer?”) but you get the idea and that’s enough to have a great time.
