Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Fahrv says it best so go read that first, but I’m going to add a few more comments to the “This GTA:SA controversy is ridiculous” fire:

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a game that lets you:

  • “Jack” cars from innocents on the street.
  • Run over innocents on the street with little negative consequences.
  • Pick up hookers and have sex (displayed as the car bouncing up and down and some voice-overs only).
  • Kill people in dozens of different ways, including beating them to death with a large black dildo.
  • Assassinate people with bomb placements.
  • Run missions that further a black-ops government agency who sells drugs to raise funds for their ops.
  • Run a gang war for terroritory, winning by killing enough rival gang members in each one.

For this, the game got a M (Mature 17 years+ rating).

Now it’s been found out that, if you install a file from the Internet (going through several difficult technical hoops if you’re not using the PC version) you can play a “sex minigame”.

Sex.

Murder, theft, illegal government black ops, sex with hookers — that’s all fine.

But have actual consenting adult sex in a not-available-in-the-bought-version game!?!?!? IT’S TIME FOR POLITICIANS TO FREAK OUT AND POINT FINGERS!

It’d be laughable if these morons didn’t actually have power to do something for their ridiculous reasons.
