I remember back in high school when Weird Al first appeared on the scene.  I and the other geeks bought his albums and would play them over and over at our video game get-togethers (which involved gaming on Commodore 64s, Colecovisions, Apple IIe’s, and other heights-of-high-tech for the time).

But over time my appreciation waned.  Lots of other people were doing satirical remakes.  Sure, Al was still one of the best, and he occasionally knocked one out of the park, as he did with his Star Wars song “The Saga Begins”.

Today, however, Weird Al hasn’t just (to continue the baseball metaphor) hit a home-run.  His new song “Don’t Download This Song” is a grand-slam, and a must-listen for anyone online.
